Does pirut and yuum really work in FC6

Pirut doesnt have any capability to do updates and certainly not 
automatic updates. Pup can do updates but not auto updates. You can in 
Fedora Core 6 configure yum-updatesd to automatically do updates but 
that feature is not working due to a bug.
