I am also having a problem with my HP Photosmart (dumb?) 1215, where I set
it up and it works, then when I reboot the system (I am switching the USB
hub between two systems), the printer is not present. When I toggle the USB
switch to bring the printer (and some other stuff), the printer doesn't
work. I am not sure about the "other stuff" yet, I try to keep my problem
list small and go at it sequentially).

Anyway, when the system comes back up and I switch the hub, the printer
is found, and I am prompted to set it up again. Is this to be considered
normal behavior?
