Samba Authentication Hassles for Mac

/var/log/samba would be a good place to look.

How are you connecting from OSX? Through the finder, or command-line?

I haven't had too much trouble, but the samba servrs are FC2...

PS - can you use smbclient on OSX to list shares on the FC machine?
