I've found the shell script (don't remember the source already),
modified it a bit and it kinda works for me.
#!/bin/bash
(exec "$@")&
PID=$(jobs -p)
( while [ -d /proc/$PID ] &>/dev/null ; do
sleep 500s
gnome-screensaver-command --poke &>/dev/null
done
)&
wait $PID
I have it under ~/bin/noss name
in order to run mplayer you do
$ noss mplayer
You can put an alias into ~/.bashrc (or whatever you got there)
