The lack of customization is highly a distraction. Customization of 
settings and a more elaborate way to select and deselect particular 
screensavers should be added.

New installs need to grab the xscreensaver packages from Extras. But you 
  are right, you can always put back gnome-screensaver. I'm glad that 
extras still carries the program.
