And I get:
===========
[root at coyote logrotate.d]# grep named *
named:/var/log/named.log {
named: create 0644 named named
named: /sbin/service named reload 2> /dev/null > /dev/null || true
named.rpmnew:/var/log/named.log {
named.rpmnew: create 0644 named named
named.rpmnew: /sbin/service named reload 2> /dev/null

and
============
[root at coyote logrotate.d]# rpm -q --whatprovides /etc/logrotate.d/named
bind-9.3.3-6.fc6
============
The former essentially proving that there was an /etc/logrotate.d/named
file there before I installed bind yesterday.
As to how it got there, I really and truely have NDI. The fact that the
syslog file, where I had installed some expansions that have now been
posted here already, wasn't modified, tells me that I did *not* copy
my /FC2/etc/logrotate.d to the FC6 installs /etc/logrotate.d.

And I would have seen the first 3 lines pasted above.

And just in case rpm exits on the first answer as opposed to all answers,
what would it say on a system without bind? An intrigueing question
that..
Thanks.
