FC5 kernel-2.6.18-1.2239.fc5 problem with mandatory locking

Further to this problem. The kernel only complains when trying to mount 
the root filing system for the first time. I have moved the mandatory 
locking down to a sub directory and the system will now boot - However, 
something changed in the kernel init code that I cannot find and I would 
like to understand where this came from. The root filing systems are 
RAID-1 devices without LVM running on them so there are redundant 
superblocks which seem to have preserved the mand attribute sufficiently 
well to take out the new kernels. Do not know if this would happen on a 
normal disc partition - do not have any spare hardware to test at present.
