Evolution is dead-slow

I'm far from an Exchange expert, all I know is what i"ve gleaned 
from using it at work.

But,... my understanding is that Evolution requires OWA to be enabled.
If that's so, you should be able to use a web browser to connect to
OWA instead of Evolution. Unfortunately, the UI you get via the web
is pretty sucky. At least it's not quite so slow.
