That's because it's a hard problem -- there's a huge variety of crappy
hardware out there, all of it crappy in different ways. I know the anaconda
developers are aware of this, because if you want to get into a protracted
discussion about all these headaches and the herculean efforts to work
around them or solve them, just buy one of those guys a drink sometime and
they'll talk your ear off about it. :)
