rectangles instead of letters after pango update

Hi all,

This morning I updated pango on my FC5 machine. After this all letters on my
desktop are rectangles and firefox refuses to start.
Has anybody an idea how to solve this?

I also entered a bug report at bugzilla:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=210442
however, I think that a reaction from this mailing list is a quicker way to
a (temoprarely) solution.
