Just to clarify the Debian situation, and I run both Fedora 1 through 7, and 
Debian Sarge, Etch, and Lenny.

Debian Sarge has been replaced by Etch as the stable version. Sarge is now 
known as old-stable, but is still getting security updates.

Etch is the current stable version, and gets security updates.

Lenny is the new testing version, and has replaced Etch, which was the 
previous testing version.

Sid is what you want if you want to work on the cutting edge. there can be 
many updates each day for Sid, and if you like running a distro on the 
cutting edge, you have to be prepared to go with the flow. Sometimes things 
go ok, othertimes it all goes pearshaped. Packages are tried out on Sid, and 
when they are are considered stable enough, are filtered down to the testing 
version of Debian, which is now Etch, and should present no problems if all 
goes well.

I would think that running Fedora Rawhide would be similar to running Debian 
Sid, neither of which I'm willing to venture into. All too close to the 
cutting edge for me. Saying that though, if I had a spare computer, I may 
just try both of them just for kicks, and for the challenge.

btw. I've just received a fix from the Debian list for a Udev problem, which 
has I think resolved a problem with the ordering of my TV card, and webcam. 
There were no problems with pre Udev kernels, but kernels using Udev were 
pretty hit and miss with the ordering of my devices using /dev/video.

I'll try the same fix on my Fedora installs that are using kernels that use 
Udev, and see if the same problem is resolved.

Enough said. or I might start rambling on, and totally lose the plot.
