fedora 6 kernel panic issues

I would think if the errors are in the filesystem then yes you are correct.  I was thinking that there were bad sectors so if I copied it and fsck it then it would be ok.

Wouldn't copying a disk with errors using dd also copy the errors onto 
another target disk?
