Tried your advice Casey,

and it does not work on my machine.  Probably won't work on Paul's either

[olivares at localhost ~]$ hwinfo --help
bash: hwinfo: command not found
[olivares at localhost ~]$ su -
Password: 
[root at localhost ~]# hwinfo --help
-bash: hwinfo: command not found
[root at localhost ~]# hwinfo
-bash: hwinfo: command not found
[root at localhost ~]#
