How can you get a Seagate USB 160 GB drive to mount?

Only if you want to, you don't have to.  You can use EXT2 and EXT3 with
Windows, if you want, there are Windows drivers to do so.

Using FC 4, 5, 6 & 7, plus CentOS 5.  Today, it's FC7.
