Yes, KDE_Redhat tends (I believe) to stick as close as possible to upstream + 
patches where needed.

This sort of functionality was actually something I was inquiring about 
recently on the KDE-redhat mailing list. I might take a look at what redhat 
have done, to see if it can cleaned up a bit.
