I'm probably not going to be much help, as I've only recently tried a webcam,
and only bought that because it was reduced from 25€ to 5€ at my local ALDI
supermarket. More by luck than judgement it uses the ov511+ driver, which is
supported under Linux, and works quite well.
I looked in /lib/modules/uname -r/kernel/drivers/usb/media . Both on FC2, and
Debian Sarge. The driver for your cam doesn't seem to be there, and I'm sure
you've looked too.

Maybe someone can give you some pointers.
Of course it may be easier to buy another webcam. Check out first if the
driver is available in your kernel before buying it, and make sure that you
can take it back if it doesn't work.
It may be worth asking also on the video4linux mailing list. They are mainly
dealing with TV cards, but someone might give some help.
