It certainly can print on x86_64 -- I use it myself on x86_64 and it
prints fine.

Perhaps there is some other bug in the GTK+ print dialog that is not to
do with raw printing.  When the 'Print' button is not clickable it
generally seems to mean that the PPD for the printer could not be
fetched.

What does 'rpm -q gtk2' say?  Did you apply the updates?  The latest
version is gtk2-2.10.8-1.fc6.
