vnc lockups

Actually, it just locked up at the SSH terminal prompt without VNC.  It just
took a bit longer to do so.

So it really looks like I have a networki problem or a hardware problem
here.  And since nothing has really changed as far as software goes, does
anyone have any ideas about where I should start looking?
