FC5/FC6 latest kernel crash when using cifs

You do get garbled characters.  This means you are still running the
unpatched version of cifs.  After copying cifs.ko, you must rmmod cifs
then modprobe cifs to load the new version.  Then run the above command
again and make sure there is no garbled characters.
