Kplayer now refuses to play the disk. When launching kplayer I noticed
something strange: When opening the FIle drive with no disk in the
drive Kplayer usually has a menu item "DVD Device" and when there is a
disk that same menu item changes to the name of the disk. Now, that
menu item is rapidly changing from "DVD Device" to "Black Hawk" (or
the name of whatever disk I'm trying to play). There is also absolutly
no output to the command line:
[dotancohen at localhost ~]$ kplayer
[dotancohen at localhost ~]$

Just for comparison, this is the output of the (working, not choppy) VLC:
[dotancohen at localhost ~]$ vlc
VLC media player 0.8.6a Janus

For comparison, I put another known-good disk in, and Kaffeine played
the first 20 seconds, then complained that it "could not read from the
original". It was choppy during this time. Nothing was reported on the
command line, however, that wasn't when trying the first disk. Kplayer
did the same name-switching game that it did with the first disk
(again with no console output), and vlc played fine.
