You could test that by manually selecting specific screensavers and
previewing them.

You're making it damn near impossible to carry on a conversation when
you start new threads instead of replying to the prior one. Even more
so when it quotes nothing from the prior one.
I received somewhere around 200 messages today, likewise yesterday. I,
nor others, do not remember everything that was in yesterday's mail.
Nor will we feel like reading through every one of them trying to piece
your disassociated message into where it belongs. It's far easier to
just hit delete. I'm writing this, rather than hitting delete, for
*YOUR* benefit, and a few others who do the same thing on this list.
If you want to use a mailing list, you'll have to learn how to fit in
with how they're run:
* Reply to a message by "replying" to it. Use the function
actually called "reply" in your mail client.
* Quote enough of the prior message for yours to make sense
without anybody having to go and find your prior message. Do
*NOT* quote the entire thing unnecessarily.
* Write responses to specific parts of a message *directly* under
where the bit you're responding to is. So the whole thing reads
like a coherent conversation, in itself. (Called interspersed
quoting.)
You should be able to see how this is done by looking at most of the
other messages on the list. If you ignore the advice, you'll get
ignored by other list participents. Possibly by the ones with the
answer to your queries.

That would indicate it isn't mounted. Run "man mount" to see how to
mount it.

Doesn't quite match what the bug describes as the gui never comes
responsive again. I have shut down all the screensavers sans one that I
know never gave me a problem (BSOD).

This is a weird problem I am having.
Software used:
Qmail, Qmail-Scanner, courierIMAP
O/S = Fedora 5
Virtual Domains
I can send email from my own network from my email client just fine. But
when I try setup the email client from outsite my network, I get this:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected
by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'email at example.com'.

I don't think you can have /boot on an LVM.
Certainly everyone seems to advise against it.
I think the bootloader proper (the bit in the MBR or wherever)
only has a very simple view of the partitioning,
which would not include LVM, I imagine.
If you actually have a /boot that works,
why not just add a stanza for Fedora-7 to that?

Hi all,
I think I've been stupid or framed or both. I wanted to samba share a
USB disk on a F7 system but got an SELinux message saying that the
directory could not be shared, and that there was a command to get it
right (=wrong?).
So I typed in
chcon -t samba_share_t -R /
Yes, that's what was in the SElinux message thingie as suggestion. And
being a total SELinux nitwit I did what the almighty Linux system
adviced.
So it took a while before getting "operation not permitted" on /dev/....
Then I cancelled the operation but the damage has apparently already
been made.
I retyped the command with the proper directory to share and now the
share worked.
But when I restarted the system all kinds of services were broken
including /dev/eth0.
The kernel could not find the eth0 device. The X configuration was gone
and all kinds of errors were smashed into my face.
So it looks like the SELinux (or me myself?) has scrambled my harddisk.
I cannot even login anymore. The system is completely dead.
Some 'simple' questions:
Why did this go wrong?
What actually did go wrong?
What to do next? Re-install? That would be a bummer.

Well if lpstat says the printer is availble and lpr can print to the
printer, you have convinced me that is a problem with evolution. It is a
mystery though why printine works for me. However all my printers are on
the same lan.

It looks like you set the SELinux context for the *whole* hard drive,
rather than the directory that you wanted to share. The easiest way to
get it working again would be to append "selinux=0" in GRUB when you
boot the computer.
You'll have to ask some of the SELinux experts here how to reset the
contexts to what they're supposed to be.

Openoffice has the same problem... had to check "Use OpenOffice dialogs"
so that the "Print" button would become active. Before I did this the
"Print"
button was shaded with the remote printers.
All printers inside the local network are not affected.
I'll go ahead and file a bug on this today.

Hi all, I am having problems with my WPC54GSver1.1.
This card worked with FC6 using BCM43xx , no problems.
Since I upgraded to F7 it will not work. I am using
the updaTED FIRMWAREthe other firmware reported as "to
old" in the log file. Now I get an error that it can't
"set bit rate" and it will not get a IP because the
"radio" remains off. Iwlist show serveral accesspoints
some locked some open and iwconfig no connection (as
expected. What am I missing???? Help!!!! I hate using
XP
