Unless there was an unnoticed problem during install, re-installing is
not going to make anything work differently.  If a re-install does work
differently, I'd be highly suspicious of having bad hardware (hard
drive, power supply, main board).  A repeated install should be just the
same as the last time.  You can test that a package is installed
properly using the rpm command with the -V option (verify).  See rpm's
man file for more help on that, once you figure out which RPMs you want
to check (if you do).

On the other hand, an upgrade from an older Fedora release to a newer
one, over the top, does often leave difficult problems.  A lot of people
find "fresh" installs onto an empty drive to have less hassles than
doing upgrade installs.

(Just covering both bases, trying to answer your "fresh reinstall"
query, as I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to.)

You might need to select a specific (suitable) monitor during the
display configuration, or it might just automatically pick a safe low
resolution.  I've suffered that problem.

Intel drivers are usually installed, by default, when you install X.
Likewise, for the other basic drivers.  There is a chance that the
system picked the newer "Intel" driver rather than one of the older
various Intel chipset ones, a few people have said they had problems
with the Intel one.  Though I don't have it on mine, I don't remember
where it comes from.

*This* computer isn't using an Intel chipset (I have others that do),
but the second following longish list shows the X drivers installed so
they're *available* for use.  In the middle of it are three packages
that are for a group of Intel chipsets.  When you configure the display,
you might recognise those i810, etc., designations in the list.
