Hi Rogue,

    I assume I can yum audacity so will try it and see if it helps. 
Alsamixer has Mike 1 and Mike 2 and I have no idea what a mike plugged 
into the soundcard is called! Also I turned up things and then tried 
Skype. Perhaps I should have killed Skype and then made changes and 
bring it back up.
