Firewire Kernel Problems with Fedora 7

Nope, that doesn't help.

The raw1394, etc. modules are not included in Fedora 7.  There is a 
completely new firewire stack (modules fw-core, fw-ohci, fw-sbp2).

The version of libraw1394 shipped with Fedora is supposed to support the 
new firewire stack so that kino, dvgrab, et al don't know the 
difference, but I am also having the same problems as Manal, and there 
are other reports.

Generally, it seems that there are problems with the new firewire stack 
in Fedora 7.  I have yet to find a solution, but I am tracking a few 
bugs that seem to be related:
