Scanning under Fedora

 Not sure if it makes a difference, but I plugged in my HP scanner last 
night and xsane can't find it. I know the scanner has worked with fc6 in 
the past. I noticed on the HP site the other day, the scanner is now 
obsolete; hopefully, no one fudged with the kernel...
