Bonsoir Pierre. I've only experienced the odd kernel problem with rt kernels 
from planetccrma, and that is with FC2. I'd consider posting a bug report to.

You'll obviously have to provide as much info as possible.

Meanwhile, I wouldn't be too bothered. Just continue to use the kernel that 
works ok.

I use Apt as a package manager, and Apt keeps all kernels as default. Yum's 
default settings by contrast only keep 2 kernels. You can change this 
behaviour, by adding a line to /etc/yum.conf, as below.
installonly_limit=0             (that's a zero, not an uppercase o)
This will result in all kernels being retained.

When you next get a kernel update, you can simply remove the kernel that don't 
work, using Yumex for instance, or in my case Synaptic.

I think I'd post a bug report, if this is a repeatable problem. It may just be 
a problem that shows up on "your" laptop model/hardware, and perhaps the 
kernel guys would be interested in your feedback.
