Hi, Joe,
I used the "Add to Panel" function for custom Application launcher.
The program (at least as
installed by default here) is /usr/lib/openoffice.org/program/sdraw.bin
I named it "Draw" and used the icon "Tomboy.png" which resembles a
pencil on a pad of post-its.
That should do the trick for me and anyone else who wants it.
