suspend button stopped working with kernel 2.6.23.1-10.fc7

The 2.6.23.1-21.fc7 kernel also seems to have the same wakeup issue for 
me.  Additional info:  I cannot ping nor ssh into the laptop upon 
"wakeup".  Back to the 2.6.22.9-91.fc7 kernel...
