Video rendering differences Nvidia/ATI

I have never had good luck with ATI drivers.  This could change now that 
AMD/ATI is opening their data to OSS developers.  This could make me 
like ATI again.

FWIW, I have a Windows only friend that dumped ATI over their Windows 
driver last year.
