Start X: Gnome/KDE?

I believe the command startkde should start kde from command line.
If you want to make kde the default desktop to start when going to init 5,
edit the following file: /etc/sysconfig/desktop

and put these two lines in it:
DESKTOP="KDE"
DISPLAYMANAGER="KDE"
