I've just reinstalled F7 on my desktop machine. It was previously
running F7 without any particular problems (well, I managed to remove
the rpm package, hence the need to reinstall). Now the X server
segfaults frequently.

This is the message printed in the Xorg.0.log:

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting

It's got an nVidia graphics card but I'm using the free nv driver (as I
was before). I don't suspect hardware, because the problem has only
started to happen since the reinstall.

Debian seem to have seen & fixed a similar bug:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-x/2007/08/msg00287.html

There are a couple of RHBZs on this, but with no particular resolution:

Ideas?

Rich.
