yum doesn't work for kernel & modules. Why not just admit it and say it is a feature

Strange, yum works for updating the kernel for most users. Now, you
do run into problems sometimes when you use non-RedHat repos. This
is especially true when they do not have the modules built yet for
the latest kernel update. (That is why there are yum plugins that
make sure the modules are available before offering the kernel
update.) The other thing you sometimes run into is mirrors that are
not up to date. I have run into times when the mirror does not have
an RPM that the meta-data says it does...
