That's back to the command prompt.

Well, the "yes" command exists on pretty much all systems and just
repeatedly outputs either 'y' or the string you give it.  So if he
typed "yes" then you'd get an infinite number of lines containing 'y'
spewed to the screen.

The intent of the 'yes' command is to pipe to something which prompts
for input.  It just answers 'y' to every such prompt.
