error compiling...

I execute ./configure on my x86_64 based system and get the following (for 
loads of software packages):

(not sure why, where will it get this from?)

I'm guessing the Target is the issue, but I'm not entirely sure as I don't 
often do the compiling thing...this is a box that was "upgraded" from i386 
to x86_64 - have I missed something somewhere?
