error compiling sleuthkit and afflib

Hello all,

I try to compile sleuthkit on my Fedora 8 box, but so far no success.
All Deps are installed (yes, also the *-devel packages) and ./configure
goes fine, but compiling breakes with this error:

I also want to build afflib for use with sleuthkit, but the same
here: ./configure goes fine, compiling breakes. Here is the error:

ewf is installed from Fedora repos:

Additional info:

1400mhz CPU
512mb RAM (I know, I know...)

If I can get it work somehow, I would like to build .rpm and .srpm
packages, so I can use Fedora (or CentOS) for forensics instead of
Debian :)
