argh -- can't get wireless in someone else's house

Isn't this a slightly curious DHCPDISCOVER?
I have something like

I suspect your routing table is wrong.
What does "route -n" say?
Mine says

[tim at mary ~]$ route -n

I would guess that the only thing wrong with your setup
is the routing table and /etc/dhcpd on the desktop.
