I sent the other message, then the computer froze
again.  The message was:

journal commit I/O error

I thought for a moment that all was well.  Here is

so that kernel is history again :(.  Till a newer and
better kernel comes out or I get it from Dave's
repository :) maybe a 2.6.24.2 based kernel.
