Howto come out of suspended state

I have a Compaq Presario F500 and I don't know how to come out of
suspend mode.

BTW, I'm having lots of hangs. I'm not sure if it's really hanging or 
it's suspending for some strange reason. I don't know which may be the 
real problem.

Also, it's a AMD turion 64 running F8 64bits with nvidia driver from 
livna. The kernel is 2.6.23.12-101.fc8 from koji.

Any guide will be appreciated.
