Fedora, Ubuntu, and other distributions probably describe their
operating systems as Linux-based in a feeble attempt to not offend
people on either side of this insanity. And the attempt to persuade
people to use GNU/Linux rather than just Linux when speaking of the
operating system has introduced a third name for it as well and a
second that doesn't have GNU in it. Perhaps this campaign isn't
entirely working out.
