Google toolbar with Fedora-9

I had two Google gizmos that didn't work with Fedora-9 Firefox -
Google Browser Sync and Google Toolbar.

I see that the Browser Sync (bizarrely to my mind)
has been withdrawn by Google;
but is anyone using the Google toolbar with Fedora-9 Firefox?

I notice that google is always offered at the top of the URL choices,
so it only takes a second to open a google window.
Is this a substitute for the toolbar?
