Kernel 2.4 / 2.6 kompilation

Hi everyone,

Probably a simple question for the most :)
Is it possible (without extra configuration / changes) to kompile a
2.4 Kernel on a FC8 2.6 System?

I´m getting all sorts of errors and am wondering where the problem is.
GCC Version?
