libssl.so.6 required by git

Then your timezone's wrong:

Install Date: Fri 07 Nov 2008 12:10:50 AM EST

Fri 07 Nov 2008 12AM **EST** is still in the future.

But anyway, that's not the cause of your problem - does git actually 
work now?
