you are correct about '*.*' from /home/micheal directory to get hidden
files and directories.

but using 'chown -R michael:michael /home/michael' give home directory to michael,
which is what michael will need.

also, tho i did not mention it, there is a need to insure that '/home/michael' has correct permissions.
