Yes.

Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//radeon_drv.so is followed by
several screens listing radeon drivers.
Then there are screens full of lines each saying "not using
default mode" followed by a size, followed by "(vrefresh out of range)"
or in some cases "(hsync out of range)"
After some other stuff, there are more such screens -- lots of
them. Finally, [btth at Thpd30 log]$ cat Xorg.0.log|most ends with :

After being offline a while (I had a mini-stroke.), I have just
tried that. It made the whole screen go black, except for the useless
left panel; but I can still get into it from a PC, both with ssh and with
ssh -X; and ssh -X with the CLI launch still produces the defective
window with swaths missing on the right side and the bottom.
