add this to kernel options... xdriver=vesa

i.e. something like this (edit /boot/grub/grub.conf for permanently
passing if you choose)

title Fedora (2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.i686)
        root (hd0,2)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.i686 ro
root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 rhgb quiet xdriver=vesa
        initrd /initrd-2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.i686.img

You probably could just type 'X --configure' but if you want
system-config-display, you can still install it...

yum install system-config-display
