Fedora=blank screen; ubuntu/win=ok

Hi.

A colleage got a new Compaq laptop[1], but NO IMAGE AFTER GRUB!!! We did
already install Fedora11 (w/external monitor), yum update,
system-config-display, kernel... vga=314/315-and-so-on, noapic, noacpi; 
xorg-X11-driver-intel-or-something-alike already installed, updated.
Nothing.

Ubuntu and windows XP they run fine, please help! some ubuntu/win fans
in my office are roflalapmastc at us... hahaha :D Thanks in advance.
