java and firefox crashes on FC13

Can someone tell me if they also have these warnings and errors in
their ~/.xsession-errors?

How about this from /var/log/messages:

Dec  6 20:07:11 alex kernel: npviewer.bin[8869]: segfault at 418 ip
0000000001018c86 sp 00000000ff8bb408 error 6 in
libflashplayer.so[dc9000+b2e000]

It would be helpful to know if this problem is local to my machine or
is occurring elsewhere...
