I can find newer firmware (mine is a Thomson Speedtouch ST585 V6 running
firmware level 5.4.0.14 which is ancient. I found 8.something.
But I can't find a way to install it. The user manual mentions ftp-ing
to the router, but when I try, most of the directories it mentions
aren't present. It's configured by Demon, and I suspect they customize
it.
I also found instructions for setting up a bootp server to do the
upgrade, but I couldn't get anything to happen. There was no request to
dhcpd from the router.
