Depending on the site, that mayn't help you.  Some will do all sorts of
silly things to decide what browser you have (set and check cookies, try
things with JavaScript, etc.).  Quite often what they do is wrong, as
well as a bad idea, and they just dig deeper holes for themselves (and
you, at the same time).
