What are the 3 progress bars during a Fedora Boot Telling me?

I sent this several days ago, but I dont think it made it to the list with
its new name...

What are the 3 progress bars during a Fedora Boot Telling me?
There is a dark blue that runs ahead,
A lite blue that follows it, and
a White bar that overwrites the other two.

Along the same lines, the word 'Fedora 11' is initially blue,
but turns white near the end of the boot.

Is this just pretty graphics, or is there some actual information here?
